Before we can start painting kitchen cabinets, we visit your home and carefully remove all doors and hinges. These are loaded onto the van for transport back to our spray booth in Birmingham.
Once your removable items like doors and kickboards are back at our facility, we start start to prep. This is the most crucial part of the process. We fully degrease, fill any holes or damage and lightly sand. We then apply adhesion and stain blocking primer followed by another coat of high build colour matched primer, finishing off with x2 topcoats in your chosen colour.
We return to your property with your doors safely wrapped and packaged. We then begin the kitchen carcass masking and preparation. We begin by cloaking all areas of your kitchen with sheeting and masking all edges of carcasses and walling to ensure crisp lines. Any doors leading to the kitchen are sealed to ensure no overspray penetrates into any other part of your property. Your carcasses are fully degreased and lightly abraded ready for the spraying process to begin.
Once the kitchen has been suitably prepared, we mix the specialist coating and setup the extraction. We then apply the first coat of adhesion primer. Once the primer has dried (approx 30 mins) we lightly abrade the kitchen once more before applying x2 topcoats in your chosen colour.
After applying the final topcoat, we check over the final finish using high powered lighting. We are then free to carefully begin the de-masking process.
The specialist industrial coatings we use are touch dry within minutes of the final coat. We allow plenty of drying time to ensure the paint has bonded thoroughly before we replace and check alignment of your kitchen doors.
All specialist equipment is then packed away leaving your kitchen looking brand new! A final quality control check of the kitchen and full site cleanup is carried out before the job is signed off.
